Lobanav established the Speech Synthesis and Recognition Scientific School in Belarus. Since 1974 till 1988 Lobanav headed the Speech Technology Laboratory in Minsk department of Central Research Institute of Communications, and since 1988 till 2011 &#8211;\u00a0 the Speech Synthesis and Recognition Laboratory of United Institute of Informatics Problems, NAS of Belarus. At different times among the school participants were PhD in Philosophy professor A.B. Karneuskaja, PhD in Engineering B.V. Panchanka, DSc in\u00a0Engineering A.S. Rylou, PhD in Engineering T.V. Leukouskaja, DSc in Pedagogics G.V. Losic, PhD in Engineering L.I. Tsirulnik, PhD in Engineering A.G. Davydau, PhD in Engineering I.A. Kheydarau, M.P. Degtyarou, V.U. Kisyaliou and many others.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The main research areas of the Speech Synthesis and Recognition Scientific School include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">Multilingual<\/span> and multi-voiced text-to-speech <span class=\"hps\">synthesis<\/span><\/span>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Person\u2019s voice and diction computer cloning;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Robust recognition of discrete and connected speech;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Identification of <span class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">key<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">words in<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\"> speech<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\"> flow<\/span><\/span>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Computer-assisted rehabilitation systems for <span class=\"st\">people who are deaf, hard of hearing or are visually impaired<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Over the period up to 2008, the theoretical and practical activity of the School is described in the article by B.M.
